Past[]

Since the beginning Pere has been resentful towards his older brother, believing himself to be more deserving and talented than his brother, and only second due to being born a month later and not being trained by Noya.[1]

Warrior Ceremony[]

After Yulian's training, Pere chooses to participate in the Warrior Ceremony as well - to the surprise of his parents. Before the ceremony begins, Pere fights with an errant member of the Abuso tribe who insults Baguna's honor. Pere fights with Yulian and Pareia in the Warrior Ceremony, though somewhat reluctantly, and makes it to the Fourth Trial without much trouble. During the silent combat, he is wounded in an ambush by Zenechel while protecting Shubeon and Thrint, and though he resists stubbornly - Yulian and Haisha convince him to withdraw due to his injury.

Pareia's Invasion of Shuaruri[]

During the tribe war with Shuaruri, Pere rashly attacks the Shuaruri forces by himself. Ambushing them from behindin the first of the Flowing Sand Oases while Yarmaha fights the front. Pere's desire to prove himself leads him to destroy many enemies, but he is nearly surrounded and only saved by the intervention of Shubeon and Red Storm.

Despite his solo venture being an attempt to distance himself from Red Storm, the glory of the battle goes to the young warrior and Yulian - only furthering Pere's resentment.
