The dragon that appeared in the Warrior Ceremony. Though it is not the only dragon in existence, it is the only seemingly mortal one to appear in the story.

Appearance[]

Extremely large white dragon. It has large white horns and wings that allow it to fly. Although referred to as a Demon Beast, the dragon seems to be capable of some level of thought.

Background[]

The Dragon is originally seen in a distant mountain, awakening with the unlawful intervention of Ranoia's poison fog in the Warrior Ceremony.

It has been said that he was sent by the prince of chaos.

History[]

The Dragon appears in the Seventh Trial of the Warrior Ceremony. Although its origins and motivations are somewhat unclear, The Dragon is likely an unintended consequence of Ranoia's dark plans, and potentially the otherworldly interventions of Noya. The Dragon makes short work of the remaining warriors, easily immobilizing them and killing some with its overwhelming physical strength, dragon breath, and ancient reality-altering dragon magic.

Most of the warriors escape, but Yulian is trapped to fight the beast alone. He proves to be no match for the beast's magic and nearly dies but for the timely intervention of his master. Noya proves mostly resistant to "lizard's" magic, though is somewhat impressed by it, and kills the monster with relative ease - thus allowing Yulian to continue on with the trial.

The Dragon's appearance seems to have been a great surprise to many magic users of the Desert, and has had a lasting impact on the Chaos Seal that Winnie guards, as well as setting strange events in motion.

Power and Abilities[]

An enormous and ancient monster with immense physical strength, and unimaginable magical abilities based on a reality-altering language.

Basically Alduin without the immortality.

Trivia[]

  • There is some speculation that The Dragon was intended as the major challenge of the Seventh Trial, or is in fact the Eighth Trial. Based on the Shire Tribe, and Winnie's reaction to its appearance however it seems as if The Dragon was an unexpected interloper - and not something seen in the trials before.
    • Considering that it is at so much higher a level than anything faced in the previous trial (to the point it could even wound Noya), and that Yulian was still able to pass the trial with Noya's blatant intervention likely confirms that The Dragon was an interruption the Seventh Trial - not a part of it.
